Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 Bizjet VH-CXJ Pops into Mackay Airport

Making a quick and unexpected arrival into Mackay Airport in the late afternoon of Sunday 19 July was Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-CXJ.  It looked to be on a flight from Townsville to Brisbane but it touched down at Mackay.

After about 90 minutes on the ground, VH-CXJ departed to Brisbane.

Of interest, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412 VH-ESD looked to be heading to Mackay from Townsville as "Rescue 521" about the same time on Sunday 19 July.  However it eventually returned to Townsville about half-way through its journey South.
