A RAAF Challenger at Mackay Airport (File photo) |
After almost an hour on the ground, A37-002 returned to the Gold Coast.
A37-002 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Regent 64".
Meanwhile, as with the last few days, again on Monday 3 December, there were yet more charter flights in and out of Central Queensland Airports presumably transporting interstate firefighters in and out of the fire-zones.
Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-JFE was noted visiting Gladstone Airport. It arrived from Wagga Wagga and Canberra as UTY566. VH-JFE then continued to Rockhampton Airport as UTY567 before returning to Gladstone Airport as UTY991. It then departed and returned to Canberra again as UTY567.
Fellow Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQX was also noted visiting Gladstone Airport but from Dubbo in New South Wales as UTY562. It later returned to Dubbo but as UTY563.
