Brisbane-based Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 Bizjet VH-TEY Back at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 12 December, Brisbane-based Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY was noted visiting Rockhampton Airport.  It looked to touch down from its Archerfield base.

After a few hours on the ground, the sleek Citation returned to Archerfield.

VH-TEY is becoming a regular visitor to the region having visited only late last month – as pictured above.

Meanwhile, another interesting but smaller visitor into Rockhampton and Mackay Airports also on Wednesday 12 December was Chartair (or Darwin, Northern Territory) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-JFU.  It appears to be currently based at Cairns and initially called into Mackay Airport from there before visiting Rockhampton Airport.  VH-JFU then returned to Cairns.

While not 100% confirmed, it has been reported that this was a closed charter bringing school children home for the holidays.

Finally, noted passing through both Mackay and Gladstone Airports while on a ferry flight South, also on Wednesday 12 December, was Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-8 Islander VH-MBF.  The Islander looks to be based out of their Horn Island base and ferried from Mareeba to Archerfield where it is assumed that will undergo planned maintenance.
