Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQW Suprise Visit to Mackay Airport for Virgin Australia

On Friday 21 December, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQW was spotted making a surprise visit to Mackay Airport, operating on behalf of Virgin Australia Airlines on the VOZ605/608 scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.

While Alliance Airlines Fokker jets operate flights for Virgin Australia into other CQ Airports - Emerald, Gladstone, Bundaberg and Rockhampton (on occasion) - as well as Port Macquarie in New South Wales, this visit into Mackay Airport on behalf of Virgin Australia is certainly an unexpected but pleasant surprise!

Rumours persist that Alliance Fokker jets will be making more appearances at Mackay Airport over the coming weeks and months - we shall see!
