On Monday 17 December, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Bell 412EP helicopter VH-ESB was noted flying South from its Townsville base to Emerald and Roma Airports. It is unclear for the reason for the flight.
Sistership and fellow Bell 412 VH-ESD continues operate as "Rescue 521" on med-evac duties out of Townsville Airport.

UPDATE! On Tuesday 18 December, VH-ESB continued South from Roma Airport to Moree then Mudgee on New South Wales.
Meanwhile, another helicopter to visit Emerald and other CQ Airports also on Monday 17 December was Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Global Ranger helicopter VH-EQP. It was originally noted calling into Biloela / Thangool Airport from its Southport before it continued to Wanella Station (near Coppabella). VH-EQP then continued to Emerald Airport where it looked to be spending the night.
UPDATE! On Wednesday 19 December, VH-EQP departed Emerald Airport and returned to Wanella Station before heading back to Biloela / Thangool Airport and its Southport base.
Other helicopter movements heard on Monday 17 December included Calibre Aviation (Webb Helicopters) Williams UH-1H "Huey" VH-UEE "Helitack 422" and Aerial Agriculture (Heli Fleet) of Armidale Bell 206L-3 LongRanger III VH-ONR which were both noted departing Rockhampton Airport. While Stirling Helicopters Eurocopter AS.350 Squirrel helicopters VH-WHW and VH-AGL, along with Touchdown Helicopters (Wollongong) OAS Parts (Bell) UH-1H Iroquois VH-OXI as "Helitack 229", all arrived into Rockhampton Airport.
McDermott Aviation / Heli-Lift Australia Helicopters Bell Textron Helicopter 214B-1 Big Lifter helicopter VH-SEK reportedly also remains at Gladstone Airport.
Finally, an interesting aircraft that was noted ferrying North via Emerald Airport last Tuesday 11 December was Pacific Aerospace PAC750XL VH-ZVM which arrived from Port Macquarie and then departed to Innisfail.
The aircraft is usually utilised as a parachuting aircraft and has recently been operating out of Elderslie Airport in New South Wales with Skydive Elderslie - Newcastle Sport Parachute Club.
VH-ZVM has since continued to further North to Horn Island.
