On Monday 24 December, Finico (Avcair) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-NSQ was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Sydney.
Soon after, it was noted positioning down to Mackay Airport where it appears to be parking for a period of time.
UPDATE! It was photographed at Mackay Airport as shown below early on Tuesday 25 December.
The Phenom 300 was reportedly the first Asia-Pacific-based ‘Enhanced’ model being registered in June and delivered in July this year.
It also appears to ‘replace’ the fellow Avcair (Norris Aviation) LearJet 60 VH-XPN which departed Brisbane for the USA via Vanuatu in early September. As reported by the latest Australian Aviation magazine, it was subsequently cancelled from the Australian aircraft register on in late October and was registered N545SB to an address in Texas.
The sleek LearJet’s final visit into CQ seemed to be at Maryborough Airport in late May this year - as shown above.
Meanwhile, also on Monday 24 December, Cayman Islands-registered Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global 6000 bizjet VP-CEJ was noted departing Hamilton Island Airport for Sydney. It has arrived into Hamo from the Gold Coast late on Friday 22 December.
