Photos of RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III Transport Aircraft A41-207 "Stallion 52" and Other Aircraft Overhead Central Queensland Commemorations on ANZAC Day

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft were spotted completing spectacular fly-overs throughout several different parts of Central Queensland during local commemorations on Monday 25 April - ANZAC Day.

RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 "Stallion 52" was photographed and videoed as it passed overhead commemorations in the Fraser Coast region before it then completed spectacular low passes over commemorations at Calliope and Rockhampton.

Of interest, A41-207 now wears a tail art commemorating 80 years of the RAAF's No. 36 Squadron which currently flys the RAAF's eight C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft from RAAF Base Amberley.

It is believed that RAAF Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornets A44-204 and A44-217 completed fly-past during the Brisbane Anzac Day parade and commemorations, and they also both featured on the state-wide television coverage.

The Super Hornets are flown by Number 1 Squadron also based at Amberley.

While up further North, it appeared that RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan A34-007 "Wallaby 15" completing local fly-pasts while operating out of Townsville.

Of interest, the C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifter is currently flown by Number 35 Squadron also based at Amberley.

Finally, it's worth sharing some non-RAAF local fly-over photos and information also on Monday 25 April - ANZAC Day.

In the Fraser Coast region, Brisbane-based Caboolture-based North American T-28B Trojan VH-RPX was photographed also completing several fly-overs of commemorations around Bundaberg.

It had arrived the previous day and was also due to operate local joyflights while visiting Bundaberg Airport.

Sincere thanks to the local plane spotters for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos and video!
