Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 Spotted Completing Missed Approaches at CQ Airports

On Monday 11 April, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 was spotted and noted completing airwork including missed approaches at a couple of Central Queensland Airports.


The Globemaster initially looked to depart RAAF Base Amberley and fly up to Rockhampton Airport where it was spotted completing a missed approach. It then flew down to Bundaberg Airport where it completed another missed approach.

A41-207 then flew back to Amberley.

A41-207 was heard to be flying as "Stallion 71".

Meanwhile, also on Monday 11 April, in the Southern part of the region, Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-036 was noted visiting Kingaroy Aerodrome while on a flight out of and back to the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.  It was noted to be using the callsign "Trooper 70".
