American Registered Gulfstream Aerospace G650 (G-VI) Bizjet N686GD Calls into Rockhampton and Mackay Airports - Plus More!

On Wednesday 12 October, American-registered Gulfstream Aerospace G650 (G-VI) bizjet N686GD flew into Rockhampton Airport before dawn from Brisbane.  It then departed to Sydney before then heading up to Mackay Airport where it was photographed arriving for a brief visit.  



N686GD then flew back to Brisbane.

Of interest, the sleek Gulfstream bizjet appears to have been in the country since July/August with it possibly now being operated within Australia??

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 12 October, Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane and stayed.

Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-UYX also visited Rockhampton Airport, but it arrived from and later departed back to Sydney.

While up in the Whitsundays, Cirrus SF50 VisionJet N958AG flew up from the Gold Coast to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.  This is believed to be its first proper visit to Central Queensland since it was delivered to the Gold Coast in late July - actually making a refuelling stop on its delivery flight at Charleville Airport (amongst other places).

McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-SUY was noted flying into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Archerfield and Brisbane.  It later flew back South to the Sunshine Coast.

McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International has announced that they now have a facility at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane to complement operations at the Sunshine Coast Airport.

And Robindale Group / Air Link Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-CMK departed back to the Sunshine Coast and then Orange in New South Wales, after it arrived from those places the previous day.

Finally, also on Wednesday 12 October, Austrek Aviation Cessna 310R VH-DZU flew up from Toowoomba to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site before returning there via Emerald Airport.

While Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXB flew up from Toowoomba-Wellcamp and Archerfield to Rolleston and then Yellow Bank Aerodromes before then flying back to Archerfield and Wellcamp.

Fellow Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXN flew a similar path up from Wellcamp and Archerfield but to Yellow Bank and then Rolleston Aerodromes before returning to Archerfield and Wellcamp.

Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQW visited the Wanella Station Airstrip near Coppabella, arriving from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and later returning there but via Maryborough Airport.

Aircair Aviation (Aircair Helicopters) Cessna 340A VH-MPQ flew into my local Clermont Aerodrome from its Moree base before later flying down to Maungindi. 

Ipswich-based Airborne P/L (Palm Lake Works) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-VLQ visited Bundaberg Airport once again from its Gold Coast base.

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Metro 23 VH-VEU flew out from Brisbane to Longreach Airport and then Boulia and back over the same route.

M. I. Helicopters Agusta (Bell) 206B VH-JZB was noted completing aerial survey work around the Taroom area before later flying around the Rockhampton area and then eventually landing at Biloela / Thangool Airport.

And Helicorp (of Essendon in Victoria) Bell 412EP, VH-LWF departed Rockhampton Airport for a fly around through the Shoalwater Bay Training Area and then down the Capricorn Coast and up the Fitzroy River back to Rocky.  After a refuel, VH-LWF then departed to the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.


As posted below, VH-LWF had arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Oakey the previous day.
