RAAF Boeing E-7A Wedgetail A30-003 at Rockhampton Airport - Plus RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster A41-208 at Rockhampton and Mackay Airports - Plus More!

On Wednesday 5 October, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-003 was photographed as it completed at least three missed approaches at Rockhampton Airport.

The Wedgetail was flying as "Wedgetail 10" and looked to fly up to Rocky from RAAF Base Williamtown and then return there via further airwork at Coffs Harbour.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 5 October, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-208 was back in Central Queensland for the second day in-a-row, this time flying up from RAAF Base Amberley to complete missed approaches at Rockhampton Airport and then Mackay Airport.

The Globemaster was flying as "Stallion 34" and then returned to Amberley where it completed some further airwork.

Finally, also on Wednesday 5 October, Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-036 as "Trooper 82" was noted completing airwork at Kingaroy Aerodrome while on a flight out of and back to the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.

Fellow MRH-90 A40-022 as "Trooper 44" was also in the air at the same time but it looked to complete airwork around Warwick.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
