Qantas Airways Airbus A330-300 VH-QPE Back at Rockhampton Airport One Final Time After Exercise Wallaby 2022

On Monday 10 October, Qantas Airways Airbus A330-300 VH-QPE was spotted visiting Rockhampton Airport one final time as it carried another load of personnel and equipment home to Singapore following the completion of the Singapore Armed Forces Exercise Wallaby 2022.

VH-QPE arrived into Rockhampton Airport direct from Singapore's Changi Airport as QFA6001 and later departed back there with a full load of passengers and bags as QFA315.

It appears that VH-QPE will then fly to Melbourne as QFA6002.

Thus, this appears to be the end of the third 'wave' of heavy jet passenger charter flights into Rockhampton Airport in support of Exercise Wallaby 2022.

Also with the departure of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing CH-47F Chinook helicopters and Lockheed C-130H Hercules transport aircraft, it definitely appears that Exercise Wallaby is over for another year!

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
