Big Music Concert Brings Pratt Aviation Global Express VH-FGJ and Navair Embraer Phenom VH-NSQ to Bundaberg Airport - Plus More!

On Saturday15 October, the Lighthouse Rock 2022 Festival saw a couple of nice Australian corporate bizjets come to Bundaberg Airport to transport some of the performers.

Pratt Aviation Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express VH-FGJ looked to fly up from Sydney to Bundaberg Airport before later departing to the Gold Coast.




And Jampair P/L (Navair Flight Operations) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-NSQ visited Bundaberg Airport from Sydney.


Meanwhile, other bizjets to visit the region, also on Saturday 15 October, included Cirrus SF50 VisionJet N958AG which departed the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour and returned to the Gold Coast.


It had flown up during the middle of the week and is pictured above tucked away in one of the hangar homes.

While also departing the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour but for Archerfield was the slightly smaller Brisbane-based Bishopp Aviation SOCATA TBM-700 VH-VSV.  It had arrived on Thursday 13 October.

And the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ departed its Mackay Airport base for Sydney.

UPDATE!  N142GZ returned to Mackay Airport on Monday 17 October.

Finally, also on Saturday 15 October, four Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) / Qantas Group Pilot Academy Diamond DA-40 Star training aircraft VH-YTK, VH-YTU, VH-YNH and VH-PQS, were all noted visiting both Bundaberg and then Rockhampton Airports while on a busy day of flying out of and back to their Toowoomba-Wellcamp base.

While Hardy Aviation (Northern Territory) Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-AZW was noted flying from Roma Airport to Mount Isa, Daly Waters and back to Darwin.  It had flown down to Roma Airport over the same route the previous day.

WDC Equipment and Contracting Raytheon 58 Baron VH-EZR flew up from Coffs Harbour to Bundaberg Airport and then Archerfield.  Over the last couple of days it had made other visits to these places on flights out of its Chinchilla Airport base.

And a couple of helicopters around the place with Moura based Nobbs Pastoral Co Robinsone R44 VH-LDB flying up and landing at a property near Rocky. 

Townsville-based Forster Helicopters Bell Helicopter Textron 407 helicopter VH-DKU arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Mackay Airport before then departing to Gladstone Airport.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 16 October, VH-DKU returned to Rockhampton and Mackay Airports before then heading home to Townsville.

And LifeFlight Rescue Bell 412EP VH-XCK "Rescue 522" flew up from the Bundaberg area via North Curtis Island to the Rockhampton Base Hospital.  It then returned to Bundaberg Airport.
