Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLC & Qantas Airways Airbus A330-300 VH-QPE Both Call Into Rockhampton Airport as Exercise Wallaby 2022 Wraps Up

On Saturday 8 October, the third and final wave of heavy jet passenger charter flights in support of the Singapore Armed Forces Exercise Wallaby 2022 commenced as personnel and equipment start heading home following the end of the Exercise last week.

Around dawn, Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLC returned to Rockhampton Airport once again, this time touching down direct from Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei as RBA4281.

It was parked for the day and during this time, Qantas Airways Airbus A330-300 VH-QPE also touched down at Rockhampton Airport but as QFA6100 from Melbourne.

The A330 was parked on Rockhampton Airport's Taxiway Juliette where it was then loaded with a flight of personnel and their bags.

VH-QPE then departed to Singapore's Changi Airport as QFA315.

The Royal Brunei Airlines B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLC departed around sunset also to Changi but again as RBA4281.

Information suggests that on Sunday 9 October, there will be two further heavy jet charter flights to arrive into and then depart Rocky for Changi with it possibly being the same two aircraft as today's visit and at similar times.
