Our Airline (Air Nauru) B737-300 VH-INU was first to touch down, operating the nine-day cyclic Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight to the industrial city from Brisbane as RON914. Local plane spotter Michael F captured a couple of great images as the B737 pulled into its parking gate.
VH-INU departed early on Saturday 10 May back to Brisbane as RON915. It was captured in the lovely pre-dawn light as it was preparing for departure.
The Alliance Fokker touched down soon after on Friday night, operating a flight believed to be on behalf of QantasLink from Brisbane as UTY2646. It soon departed back to Brisbane but as UTY2647.
Of course Gladstone Airport received daily jet services from QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200s, with VH-NXM captured by local plane spotter Anthony S earlier in the week on Wednesday 7 May.
Meanwhile, one interesting visitor at Gladstone Airport this week, was Wagners Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-WJW which called into the industrial city on Wednesday 7 May from the Clarence Valley Regional Airport and Toowoomba.
Certainly a couple of most welcome visitors to Gladstone!
Thanks to the local spotters for sending through their great photos!
