Rockhampton plane spotter Kayanne H was at the right place at the right time to capture some great images of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft - A30-005 - as it performed not one, but two missed approaches at Rockhampton Airport on
Friday 16 May.
Flying as "Wedgetail 12", A30-005 flew up to Rocky from the South and as mentioned performed two missed approaches onto Runway 15. After its second missed approach, the Wedgetail returned to the South.
Certainly a great surprise!
