And Spectacular Sunday at the The Old Station Fly-in and Heritage Show 2014 at Raglan

Rockhampton plane spotter Ben O ventured to Raglan to take in sights and sounds at The Old Station Fly-in and Heritage Show on Sunday 25 May.

Ben focused his camera mostly on the gathered aircraft and helicopters - with joyflights operating again, as well as the departure of some of these aircraft and choppers from Old Station, on their way home - some via Gladstone - during the early part of the morning.

As with the previous day, there was also an airshow on Sunday 25 May, starring Australia's own Top Gun pilot Matt Hall in his Extra EA-300L VH-IOG.

With the airshow finished, the remaining aircraft and helicopters departed Old Station as the day went on.

Ben was lucky enough to see the visiting Aero Vodochody L-39C Albatross VH-NLD depart to Gladstone and further, as well as a gaggle of Yak 52 warbirds all departing together.

One other 'aircraft' that proved to be quite popular with the crowd was this little fella in the 'push-around' plane.  Ben reports that it is made from a rocking horse style toy, but with wheels and a handle added to he could be pushed around in his plane!

Some more great photos from a fantastic weekend at Old Station.  It should be pointed out that all proceeds from the weekend - from admissions, food and drink sales, and part of the joyflights - will aid the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS).

We thank Ben sincerely for sending through his great photos from Sunday!
