Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-004 Back Again at Rockhampton Airport!

For the third day straight this week, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-004 was spotted performing air-work in the skies over Rockhampton on Wednesday 14 May.

This time, the MRTT was observed departing Amberley Air Force Base early, flying South, before returning back North, and eventually further North to Rockhampton.  At Rockhampton, A39-004 - flying as "Dragon 25" - was seen and heard to orbit overhead Rocky Airport at 10000 feet where local plane spotter Kayanne H captured these great images.

In fact eagle-eyed readers will note that Kayanne even caught the MRTT with one of its under-wing refuelling pods deployed.

There were some reports that A39-004 then returned to Amberley at 10000 feet - perhaps with a problem.

Great photos from Kayanne and we thank her sincerely for sending them through!
