Whitsundays Scenic Flight & Charter Company - GSL Aviation - Fleet Update & Navajo VH-KFU Charter

GSL Aviation is establishing itself as a quality provider of transfers and scenic flights in the beautiful Whitsundays.  They operate from the main terminal building at The Whitsunday Airport near Airlie Beach / Shute Harbour.

I recently ventured to the Whitsunday Airport and captured some images of their latest fleet which happened to be all present at the Airport.  I was able to capture the 'work-horses' of the GSL fleet - Cessna 210L VH-FOC and Gippland Aeronautics (Gippsaero) GA-8 Airvan VH-URB.

Along with GSL's recently delivered Gippsaero GA-8 Airvan VH-VMU.

All three aircraft had operated the various transfers to Hamilton Island and scenic flights that GSL operated during the day.

Nearby, I also captured GSL's other GA-8 Airvan VH-NOQ which has recently been painted into their attractive colour scheme.

In a hangar at the Whitsunday Airport, I spotted GSL's other recent acquisition in the form of Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftan VH-KFU which was undergoing some maintenance.

VH-KFU has reportedly been acquired by GSL to operate closed charters around Central Queensland and beyond, and this week, the Cheiftan has been busy flying out to some remote parts of Central West Queensland.

VH-KFU departed the Whitsunday Airport for Mackay early on Tuesday 29 April.  From Mackay, VH-KFU was then noted to head West, and as GSL posted on their Facebook page, VH-KFU was photographed at Riverdale Station in Central West Queensland.

VH-KFU was noted to fly from Winton into Emerald Airport late on Tuesday.  After staying overnight, VH-KFU departed Emerald for Rockhampton, before it later flew to Mackay and back to the Whitsunday Airport.

Finally, during my visit to the Whitsunday Airport, I also captured GSL's Cessna 206 VH-HTO, stripped of its paint-work, and undergoing maintenance.
