On Monday 3 May, Queensland Labour Day celebrations and a Queensland Government Community Cabinet Meeting resulted in two of the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Airwing aircraft bringing the Queensland Premier, Ministers and support staff to both Barcaldine and Longreach Airports.

The Government's Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY arrived into Barcaldine Airport from Brisbane before later flying across to Longreach Airport.
