Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-208 was spotted at Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday 14 August.
Local plane spotter 'IAD' ventured to Rockhampton Airport to capture a couple of photos of A41-208, however photos were made difficult as it was parked at the Northern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron.
A41-208 evenutally departed for the North using the radio callsign of "Stallion 06".
Meanwhile, on Tuesday 14 August, Don W captured a photo of the very smart looking Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM as it was visiting Rockhampton Airport. VH-BSM had a busy day on Tuesday visiting Emerald, Moranbah and Middlemount, before ending the day back at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane.
Lastly, as mentioned below, Toowoomba-based Light Jets Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 VH-TFW popped into Rockhampton Airport on Monday 12 August from Biloela / Thangool Airport. Don W captured a photo of VH-TFW parked on the 'new' Rockhampton Airport corporate aircraft parking apron near Peace Aviation on the General Aviation side of the Airport. VH-TFW later departed to Archerfield.
Thanks to the Rockhampton plane spotters for their continuing coverage of movements from the beef capital. There are rumours that yet another special visitor may pop into Rockhampton Airport this coming Friday 16 August, although details are still a bit sketchy. Stay tuned to the Central Queensland Plane Spotting Blog for the latest updates!
