Mackellar Mining Equipment / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra Bizjet VH-MMC Finally Departs Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 8 December, the visiting Mackellar Mining Equipment / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-MMC finally departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to its Sunshine Coast base.

VH-MMC had arrived on Hamo last Thursday 3 December.

Also on Tuesday 8 December, Wagga Air Centre (Mabena) SOCATA TBM-850 VH-PVM as "Wagga Air 669" popped into Hamilton Island Airport after flying up from Wagga Wagga and Mittagong.  It later returned to Wagga Wagga.

BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation of Scone, New South Wales, Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-EQU was noted arriving into Mackay Airport from Tamworth.  After spending most of the day on the ground, VH-EQU then departed Mackay Airport and landed at Rockhampton Airport.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 10 December, VH-EQU departed Rockhampton Airport for the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.

UPDATE!  On Friday 11 December, VH-EQU departed Shute and returned to Tamworth, flying via the Sunshine Coast.

While also visiting Rockhampton Airport, also on Tuesday 8 December, was Air Gold Coast Beech 58 Baron VH-YDC which arrived from the Gold Coast via Archerfield and Kingaroy before later departing to Townsville.  

While Eurocopter EC130B4 VH-EHY of Avalon Aviation (Executive Helicopters) in Brisbane also popped into Rockhampton Airport, arriving from Archerfield and later departing to Mackay Airport and South Mole Island in the Whitsundays.

UPDATE!  VH-EHY returned South to Archerfield via Mackay and Gladstone Airports on Friday 11 December.

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-XDW visited Rolleston Aerodrome after flying up from Toowoomba-Wellcamp via Chinchilla and Yellow Bank Junction Airports.  It later returned to Chinchilla and then Wellcamp.

And Great Western Aviation Beech B200 VH-XGV made its weekly visit to my local Clermont Aerodrome, arriving from and later departing back to Brisbane.

Finally, also on Tuesday 8 December, Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 VH-LZK arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns as HND851 before then departing on one of the regular Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.  Fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-NDC also flew out to Labona from Rocky a short time later.

Later still, fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TFQ departed Rockhampton Airport for Cairns as HND851.
