Australian Army Boeing CH-47F 'Foxtrot' Chinook Helicopter A15-305 Spotted at Emerald Airport Heading South to Flood Zone

On Wednesday 9 March, Australian Army Boeing CH-47F 'Foxtrot' Chinook helicopter A15-305 was spotted on the ground at Emerald Airport.  It looked to arrive direct from Townsville and was heard using the radio callsign of "Patriot 35".

After taking on fuel the Chinook helicopter departed Emerald Airport for the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.

It appears to have flown South to provide further Australian Defence Force (ADF) assistance with the response to the growing flooding crisis in New South Wales - Operation Flood Assist.

At present, four MRH-90, four CH-47F Chinook and two Agusta AW139 helicopters have all flown South to participate.
