Three Monday Night Special Arrivals into Rockhampton Airport incl Nauru Airlines B737-300(F) VH-ONU

Late on Monday 28 February, three nice late visitors to Rockhampton Airport were all spotted.

Perhaps the nicest was Nauru Airlines Boeing B737-300(F) VH-ONU which arrived with a load of freight from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast as ‘RON557’.

After unloading its freight - believed to be for a CQ mine - VH-ONU departed back to Brisbane as ‘RON556’.

This is the first visit by VH-ONU into Central Queensland ever - including during the time it operated passenger flights before its freighter conversion in 2021.  See our Blog post below from the weekend for more!

Also spotted visiting Rockhampton Airport late on Monday 28 February was a couple of LearJet bizjets operating a couple of medical evacuation flights.

Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ arrived from Brisbane via Biloela / Thangool Airport and a bit later departed to back to Brisbane.

While LifeFlight (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane after it earlier flew down from Townsville.

A little later, VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" departed to Mackay Airport before then later returning to Townsville.

Sincere thanks to local photographer Steve V for allowing us once again to share his great photos!
