More Virgin Boeing B737-800s Call into Gladstone Airport

On Monday 30 November, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-VUL was noted calling into Gladstone Airport while operating the VOZ1709/1712 scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.  It was also interesting to note that every other Virgin service into Gladstone Airport on Monday were operated by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72 turboprops.

Then early on Tuesday 1 December, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFK was noted also calling into Gladstone Airport but on the early VOZ1707/1710 scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.

Later on Tuesday 1 December, fellow Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-VON also called into Gladstone Airport but as VOZ1709/1712, again from and back to Brisbane.

Of interest, later still on Tuesday 1 December, a pair of Virgin Australia Embraer E-190s jets operated into Gladstone Airport before a VARA ATR 72 flew in to stay for the night.

I had again received information suggesting that the number jets into Gladstone Airport was on the decrease, however after all the arrivals on Tuesday, I wonder if this will happen any time soon!
