Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Search and Rescue (SAR) Bell 412EP Helicopter VH-VAB "Rescue 82" Photographed at Rockhampton Airport Again

Also on Wednesday 28 June, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Search and Rescue (SAR) Bell 412EP helicopter VH-VAB "Rescue 82" was photographed coming in for a landing at Rockhampton Airport.

VH-VAB "Rescue 82" looked to initially fly in from 'Camp Growl' within the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) and land at the Rockhampton Base Hospital for a short time.  It then flew across to Rockhampton Airport where it was preparing to be refuelled before later returning to Shoalwater Bay where it is currently supporting currently running Military Exercises.

Finally, of interest, the Bell 412EP VH-VAB is owned by Lloyd Helicopters and operated by CHC Helicopters Australia and spent many years operating as Victorian Air Ambulance Helimed 1 HEMS 2 based at the Latrobe Valley Airport in Traralgon, Victoria.

Thanks to local plane spotter Ben O for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
