On Friday 7 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-210 was photographed visiting Rockhampton Airport on what looked to be a crew training flight.
It arrived from the South-West having originally departed RAAF Base Amberley and was heard to use the radio call sign of "Stallion 40".
After parking for around 30 minutes where the crew was changed over and the aircraft 'reprogrammed', A41-210 departed Rocky for Townsville via a missed approach at Mackay Airport.
Sincere thanks to local plane spotter 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
