Pel-Air / Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340B VH-ZLQ Calls into Rockhampton and Longreach Airports

The run of closed Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights operated through Central Queensland Airports by Pel-Air / Regional Express (REX) continued on Monday 24 June with SAAB 340B VH-ZLQ noted visiting Rockhampton and Longreach Airports, amongst other locations.

The SAAB initially departed Brisbane for Rockhampton Airport as PFY9882 before continuing to Julia Creek but as PFY9284.  VH-ZLQ then flew from Julia Creek to Longreach Airport but as PFY9883 before it then departed back to Brisbane again as PFY9883.

Of interest, Regional Express (REX) is the largest operator of the SAAB 340 turboprop in the world, with 57 examples now in their fleet.
