More Facilities on the way for Gladstone Airport

The Gladstone Observer has recently reported that the current Airport Bistro's monopoly may soon come to an end.

The Gladstone Regional Council has recently met, and reportedly passed a decision that could see the airport house two additional food and beverage outlets.

One would be located next to the proposed Qantas Lounge at the eastern end of the departure hall. The second would be centrally located in the departure hall with room for tabled seating. There is also a space for a possible newsagency.

It is exciting news and comes as a response to increased passenger numbers through the airport. According to the Airport manager, visitor numbers to the Gladstone Airport have increased by 16% over the last financial year.
