A Couple More Military Movements at Rockhampton Airport Monday - RAAF C-17 A41-211 and USMC KC-130J 168066

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 was twice spotted performing missed approaches at Rockhampton Airport on Monday 12 August.

Local plane spotter Travis W captured A41-211 climbing out of Rockhampton early in the day, while 'IAD' watched on as it performed another missed approach later onto Runway 33 at Rockhampton.  The C-17 was heard to be using the radio callsign "Stallion 36".

Also, around lunchtime on Monday 12 August, United States Marine Corps (USMC) Lockheed KC-130J, 168066 (Tail Code QD-8066) of the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152) arrived from Townsville as "Sumo 88".

It certainly has been a few great days for transport aircraft at Rockhampton Airport!
