Virgin Australia's brand new Boeing B737-800 VH-YIU made its first scheduled flight for the airline on Tuesday 20 August. And that flight was into Hamilton Island Airport as VOZ1497 from Brisbane. VH-YIU turned around an operated as VOZ1498 back to Brisbane.
Interestingly, Virgin Australia's other recently received aircraft - B737-800 VH-YFR - also made its first visit into Central Queensland at Hamilton Island Airport on Tuesday 20 August, touching down from Melbourne as VOZ1751.
