And Some Weekend Plane Spotting Images from Michael F at Gladstone Airport too!

Gladstone Plane Spotter Michael F loves to take photos - and especially photos at Gladstone Airport!  Late on Saturday 10 August, he ventured out to the Airport and captured a couple of spectacular low light photos as the sun set over Gladstone, including QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXJ which is shown taxiing for departure to Brisbane.

Then locally-based Gladstone Helicopters / Helireef Eurocopter EC135 P2 VH-ZGZ flew overhead on return to Gladstone Airport from another sortie.

I think you'll agree that Michael has captured a couple of absolutely stunning photos as VH-ZGZ touched down joining Bell 206 VH-CKP on the Gladstone Helicopters / Helireef parking apron at Gladstone Airport.

Meanwhile, Michael ventured back to Gladstone Airport on Sunday 11 August and captured a couple of nice images of visiting Aerospatiale AS.350BA of Professional Helicopter Services in Melbourne.

Michael was particularly fascinated by the camera gear attached to front of the squirrel helicopter suggesting that it could be involved with aerial surveillance or photography.

Information suggests that VH-PHU has since departed North-bound, with it being noted at Townsville and Cairns in recent days.

Michael also captured a couple of images of QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOR as it taxiied out for departure from Gladstone to Brisbane as QLK2343.

Some fantastic images from Michael and we sincerely thank him for sending them through for all of us to enjoy!
