This week Maryborough Airport has played host to a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjets as locally-based Minister of Federal Parliament (and Deputy Prime Minister) Warren Truss ventured out West to Winton to see off the 2015 ANZAC Troop Train Re-Enactment.
On Sunday 19 April, A37-001 reportedly called into Maryborough and possibly departed to Winton as Deputy Prime Minister Truss was spotted at Winton seeing off the train. However, early on Monday 20 April, local plane spotter David G spotted A37-001 departing Maryborough heading South.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday 23 April, fellow RAAF Challenger 604 A37-002 was spotted by David G shortly after arriving in Maryborough Airport from the South.
It reportedly brought Mr Truss back to to town as the Troop Train made its arrival into Maryborough for the night.
Thanks to David G for sending through these great photos!
