The two Chinooks were believed to be A15-302 and A15-307, and they arrived in formation from Townsville as "Brahman 32".  After taking on fuel, they continued to RAAF Base Amberley.

They join four other Chinooks - flown by the Army's 5th Aviation Regiment (C Squadron) based at Townsville - as well as four Townsville-based Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopters, which have all deployed South in recent weeks.
