VH-WMY at Mackay Airport during a previous visit (File photo) |
It initially touched down at Mackay Airport from Melbourne (Moorabbin) and Melbourne (Essendon). It then flew up to Hamo. After just over an hour on the ground, VH-WMY then departed Hamilton Island Airport for Archerfield before it returned to Moorabbin.
Another (much smaller) visitor to Hamilton Island Airport over the weekend was Gold Coast-based Cessna 210N VH-JEI. It arrived from the Gold Coast on Saturday 22 October and returned there on Sunday 23 October.
Also visiting Hamo on Saturday 22 October was Cairns-based Piper PA-31-350 VH-AUG.
While another interesting Cessna in the form of Cessna 207 VH-JWA of Wrightsair - which is also usually based in Cairns - called into Mackay Airport from Cairns on Sunday 23 October before continuing South to Roma Airport.
Meanwhile, a couple of other bizjet movements of note with Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizet VH-KXM touching down at Emerald Airport from Bankstown late on Friday 21 October. On Saturday 22 October, VH-KXM then continued to Vanrook Station.
And as this post is written, VH-KXM is scheduled to fly from Vanrook Station to Normanton and then Rockhampton touching down late morning on Monday 24 October.
Also at the time of writing, Maxem Aviation (of Western Australia) Cessna 550 Citation Bravo VH-XBP is due to visit both Mackay and Emerald Airports early on Monday 24 October. It is scheduled to touch down at Mackay Airport around 7.30am before heading to Emerald Airport where it will touch down at 8.30am.
