Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFJ Diverts into Gladstone Airport Enroute Brisbane to Townsville

Late on Sunday 23 October, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFJ was spotted visiting Gladstone Airport.  It had called into Gladstone while operating the scheduled VOZ383 service from Brisbane to Townsville.

It is believed that the evening Virgin Australia flight into Gladstone Airport from Brisbane was cancelled and the diversion of VH-YFJ brought the affected passengers into the port city.

VH-YFJ continued a short time later onward to Townsville.

Also early on Monday 24 October, the early morning VOZ1708 scheduled service from Gladstone to Brisbane was obviously cancelled as no aircraft overnighted from Sunday.
