A Couple of Other Bizjets and Lighties Around CQ Airports incl Qld Gvt VH-SGY & VH-SGQ

As well as the aircraft movements mentioned in the posts below, there have been a couple of other interesting corporate bizjets and light General Aviation (GA) aircraft to call into various CQ Airports over the last couple of days, including some interesting movement by the Queensland Government aircraft.

On Sunday 23 October, the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY and Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ were both noted arriving into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Brisbane.

After spending the night, both aircraft departed Prosie on Monday 24 October with VH-SGQ returning to Brisbane, while VH-SGY made a very short hop down to Mackay Airport.

After spending the night in the sugar city, VH-SGY was noted flying from Mackay to Brisbane and then back to Mackay on Tuesday 25 October.

At the time of writing, VH-SGY was scheduled to depart Mackay Airport for Brisbane one final time early on Wednesday 26 October.

Meanwhile, a couple of interesting helicopter visitors into Mackay Airport on Monday 24 October included Whitsunday Air Services / Hamilton Island Air Robinson R-44 VH-WIY which is on a flight South from the Whitsundays, and Rotorco Eurocopter AS.350B2 Squirrel VH-LFD was noted departing to Rockhampton from Mackay and is believed to be completing powerline inspections.

Also, Mackay Airport-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ was noted completing a flight from Mackay to Rockhampton and back.

Another bizjet into Rockhampton Airport on Monday 24 October was the familiar sight of Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-KXM which arrived from Vanrook Station and Normanton.  It looks to be staying for at least the night.

Back in the Whitsundays at Hamilton Island Airport, on Monday 24 October, GSA Industries Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 601 bizjet VH-NSB made yet another visit, this time flying from the Gold Coast and back.

Finally, a couple of interesting lighties have been noted passing through Longreach Airport in the last couple of days including Air Australia International (of Jandakot, Western Australia) Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-CYY which arrived from Tennant Creek and Mount Isa on Monday 24 October.

It appears to have flown from Jandakot to Geraldton and Port Hedland last Thursday 20 October on the start of this flight to Queensland.

UPDATE!  VH-CYY is due to fly from Longreach to Saint George on Wednesday 26 October.

Also visiting Longreach Airport was McNab Aviation Cessna 414A VH-FKH which visited from Toowoomba on Monday 24 October, while on Sunday 23 October, Hawker Beechcraft C90GTi King Air VH-JJU visited from its Cloncurry base, while Wagga Wagga-based SOCATA TBM-850 VH-PVM arrived into Longreach from Orange (New South Wales) and departed to Burketown.
