RAAF Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002 Pops into Rockhampton and Bundaberg Airports on Training

On Wednesday 26 October, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002 was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport.  It flew North from Brisbane and was noted using the radio callsign of "Envoy 28".

It appears that the BBJ was operating a crew training flight as it had earlier departed Sydney for Canberra before heading to Brisbane.  While on the ground at Rocky, A36-002 completed a crew change without shutting down its engines.

A36-002 then departed to Bundaberg Airport where it landed and was refuelled.

A36-002 then departed Bundy for Tamworth (New South Wales).

At the time of writing, A36-002 has again taken to the air and was last noted heading towards Alice Springs from Brisbane.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter 'IAD' who popped out to Rockhampton Airport to capture these great photos of the RAAF BBJ!
