Captured by local plane spotter 'IAD' performing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport on Monday 20 April was Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-005.
It was making a rare visit using the radio callsign of "Ausy 510" - the callsign usually reserved for overseas flights by RAAF aircraft.
It appears that A39-005 departed Amberley Air Base and headed to Rocky before flying further North and reportedly landing at Townsville. From Townsville it then flew on to Darwin.
Thanks to 'IAD' for sending through these great photos!
