Exercise Wallaby 2018 - RSAF C-130H Hercules '735' and Final RSAF CH-47D Chinook Helicopters Depart Rockhampton Airport

On Monday 19 November, the final Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and helicopters finally departed Rockhampton Airport at the conclusion of the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2018.

After arriving into Rocky last Thursday 15 November, the visiting RSAF Lockheed C-130H Hercules '735' departed Rockhampton Airport for Darwin again as "SAF9859".

Meanwhile, after arriving into Rockhampton Airport in mid-September, the remaining three (of four) RSAF Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters also departed Rockhampton Airport for good after completing their deployment.

Each Chinook departed around 10-20 minutes apart and were heard to use individual radio callsigns of "Cyclops", Celtic" and then "Concorde".  They returned to their 'new' home at the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.

As this brings our coverage of Exercise Wallaby 2018 to an end, we'd like to once again sincerely thank all the local plane spotters and photographers for taking the time to capture and send through their fantastic photos!  We have certainly enjoyed bringing them to you - and we hope you enjoyed viewing them!
