Hevilift Australia ATR 72-500 VH-FVM - Plus Citations VH-MOR & VH-CDG - All Pop into Roma Airport - Plus More

An interesting visitor into Roma Airport on Friday 16 November was Hevilift Australia (Fixed Wing Division) ATR 72-500 VH-FVM.  I presume it completed a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight from and back to Brisbane as HT741/742.

This is the third time that Hevilift has operated VH-FVM into Roma Airport.  Both VH-FVM and Hevilift's ATR 42-300 VH-YWH still complete regular FIFO charter flights from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to Biloela / Thangool, Middlemount and Moranbah Airports.

Fellow ATR 72-500 VH-FVH remains in Cairns undergoing maintenance prior to also presumably entering service with Hevilift.

Meanwhile, a little earlier also on Friday 16 November, a nice pair of Cessna Citation bizjets were also noted visiting Roma Airport.   Brisbane-based Cessna 525A CitationJet2 VH-MOR flew in from Bankstown while Professional Jet Aviation Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 VH-CDG flew in from its Gold Coast base via Archerfield and Bankstown.

After both took on fuel, VH-MOR and VH-CDG both departed to Lizard Island in the Far North Queensland.

Of interest, back on Sunday 11 November, Vanguard Aviation Cessna 525 CitationJet1 bizjet VH-DAA was also noted visiting Roma Airport.  It arrived from its Archerfield base via Brisbane and returned over the same route a little while later.

Finally, the 'usual' array of light General Aviation (GA) aircraft that complete FIFO and other closed charter flights in and out of Roma Airport continued on Friday 16 November.  Austrek Aviation Cessna 310R VH-DZX arrived from Cungelella and departed to Archerfield.  Great Western Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV visited from Brisbane.  And Brisbane-based Piper PA-31-350 VH-RPV arrived from Archerfield and departed to Charleville and then Moomba.
