A Few More Stunning Photos of Recent Movements at Rockhampton Airport

Over the last few days we've been enjoying the stunning images that Phil M has captured at Rockhampton Airport in recent times - of the Antonov 124 and RSAF Hercules and Chinooks - but in this post we feature some photos of some 'other' visitors to Rocky.

We start with a regular visitor to Rockhampton Airport - albeit under the cover of darkness - in the form of Pel-Air SAAB 340A Freighter VH-KDB.  One of Pel-Air's three SAAB Freighters call in most weeknights heading from Mackay to Brisbane, and then back to Mackay from Brisbane early the next morning.

One of the most interesting - and welcome - visitors to Rocky was Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ which called in on Tuesday 2 September and stayed for the night.

Also on Tuesday 2 September, Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) / Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 VH-ESZ also called into Rockhampton while heading North to Cairns from Archerfield.

Finally, on Saturday 6 September, after arriving the previous evening, Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Dash-8-202 VH-ZZA was captured in the lovely early morning light at Rockhampton Airport.

Some absolutely stunning images from Phil in Rockhampton, and we thank him sincerely for sending him through and allowing us to share with you all!
