An Incident in Rockhampton Brings Police Caravans and Queensland Media Helicopters to Rockhampton Airport

A nasty police incident in Rockhampton on Wednesday 17 September has brought a couple of Queensland Police Service (Airwing) aircraft and Brisbane-based media helicopters into Rocky Airport.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Police Cessna 208 Caravans VH-PSY and VH-PSQ visited Rockhampton over the course of Wednesday 17 September and Thursday 18 September.

Meanwhile, both Channel 9 (Queensland Television) and Channel 7 (Seven Network Operations) Eurocopter AS.350B Squirrel helicopters - VH-HTV and VH-BTV - were noted flying around the scene of the incident, with VH-HTV photographed at Rockhampton Airport early on Thursday 18 September.  It was due to depart back to Brisbane via Bundaberg Airport during Thursday.
