Photos of the RSAF AH-64D Apache Helicopters Unloaded from AN-124 UR-82008

Local plane spotter 'IAD' popped out to Rockhampton Airport briefly on Wednesday 10 September and managed to capture some great photos of the five (not four!) Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters that were delivered in the Antonov Airlines AN-124 UR-82008.

The five Apaches were unloaded during the morning and have taken up their 'usual' parking spot on the edge of the small cross-Runway 04/22 at Rockhampton Airport.  It is expected that they will be re-built and operate from these spots during the forth-coming Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2014.

As 'IAD's' photos show, two of the Apache helicopters can be identified as '060' and '063'.

It is reported that the Apaches will soon be joined by the Oakey-based RSAF Eurocopter / Aerospatiale AS332M Super Puma helicopters, which are expected to touch down this coming weekend - on Saturday 13 September.

And speaking of the Antonov Airlines (Antonov Design Bureau) AN-124-100M-150 UR-82008, local plane spotter Ash B has shared with us some of his stunning photos that he captured over this last weekend as the Antonov made its first visit to Rocky.

On Wednesday 10 September, UR-82008 departed Rockhampton Airport again for Johor Bahru in Malaysia as ADF134F.

Sincere thanks to 'IAD' and Ash for sending through these awesome photos!
