A Nice Surprise as Virgin Australia E-190 VH-ZPT Calls into Gladstone Airport Tuesday

A nice surprise for plane spotters at Gladstone Airport on Tuesday 23 September with Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 jet VH-ZPT touching down in the industrial city on a scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.  It was operating the VOZ1709/1712 rotation.

AND..  At the time of writing, it appears from flight tracking website Flightaware that a Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 is due to touch down at Gladstone on Wednesday 24 September at around 10.00am!

While he was at Gladstone Airport on Tuesday 23 September, local plane spotter Anthony S also captured a couple of other visitors to Gladstone including Virgin Australia (Virgin Australia Regional Airlines - VARA) ATR 72-500 VH-FVH which he captured touching down from Brisbane as VOZ1711.

Also touching down from Brisbane was QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXD which was operating the QJE1706 service.

Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-FDW ("FlyDoc 447") was spotted touching down from its Rockhampton base.

It later departed to Brisbane.

Sincere thanks to Col and Anthony for allowing us to share their awesome images from Gladstone.
