Exercise Wallaby 2014 - Four Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Super Puma Helicopters Arrive at Rockhampton Airport

With the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby due to start Monday 15 September, a flight of four Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopters made a spectacular arrival into Rockhampton Airport from their home at Oakey on Saturday 13 September.

Local plane spotter 'IAD' was at Rocky Airport to capture their arrival.

He was also able identify and confirm that the four Super Pumas to touch down wore the serial numbers 220, 272, 276 and 296.

He also noted that the other RSAF helicopters - both Chinooks and the five Apaches - all have had their blades attached and look to ready to take to the skies.

There are also reports that two more Super Pumas will arrive into Rockhampton early next week with flying expected to commence towards the end of the week.

It is also expected that first heavy jet troop charter from Singapore will touch down at Rockhampton Airport this week.  Arrivals are expected at night.

Sincere thanks to 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these fantastic photos!
