Australian Army Boeing CH-47D Chinook Helicopter A15-201 at Mackay Airport Thursday

Australian Army Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopter A15-201 called into Mackay Airport on Thursday 11 September.  The 'chook' arrived from Townsville, and conducted a practice-VOR approach on to Runway 14 at Mackay.

It is believed that A15-201 departed back to Townsville using the radio callsign of "Brahman 201".

Meanwhile, also spotted at Mackay Airport but on Wednesday 10 September was QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH (still wearing Breast Cancer Awareness colours) which called in while operating the QLK2300 'milk run' from Brisbane to Cairns via Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay and Townsville.
