We've been lucky enough to be sent some stunning photos from Mackay Airport captured over the last few days - including both current Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 aircraft that wear special colours.
On Sunday 21 September, Jetstar A320 VH-VFN operated the JST894/895 service from and back to the Gold Coast.
Earlier, fellow Jetstar A320 VH-VFD operated the morning JST882/883 from and back to Brisbane.
QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 VH-SCE was photographed touching down as QLK2301 - the morning 'milk-run' from Cairns to Brisbane, via Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone.
Tigerair (Tiger Airways) Australia Airbus A320 VH-VNG was operating the TGW744/745 flight from and back to Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport.
And finally a triple treat of Virgin Australia aircraft operating into Mackay on Sunday 21 September with Embraer E-190 jets VH-ZPG - operating the early morning VOZ600 departure to Brisbane.
Fellow E-190 VH-ZPH was also captured operating the morning VOZ605/608 flight from and back to Brisbane.
And Virgin Boeing B737-800 VH-VUT was captured arriving as VOZ607.
On Saturday 20 September, Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 VH-VGF operated the JST894/895 service operating from and back to the Gold Coast. It wears a distinctive orange colour scheme (or jaffa as has been described on other forums) celebrating Jetstar's 10 years of service in 2014. As shown, the starboard side of the fuselage features text saying 'Low fares forever', while the port side has the phrase '#jetstargeneration' to signify the generation of travellers who have taken advantage of the low fares Jetstar has brought to the Australian market.
Finally, last Thursday 18 September, Tigerair Airbus A320 VH-VND was captured in spectacular fashion operating the TGW744/745 service from and back to Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport.
A special thanks to our contributor for the absolutely stunning photos from Mackay Airport!
