Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk Helicopter A25-224 Heads North via Gladstone and Mackay Airports

Noted making a surprise return to Townsville late on Monday 15 September was Australian Army Sikorsky S70A-9 Blackhawk helicopter A25-224.

Flying as "Spartan 224", the Blackhawk was heard to call into Gladstone Airport, and then depart North for Mackay Airport. After departing Mackay after dark, A25-224 continued further North to Townsville.

There are reports that there is still at least one other Blackhawk helicopter still flying around Townsville Airport. We might see it flying through CQ soon!
