Gulfstream G-IV VH-WXK and Tecnam P2006T VH-OWW at Rockhampton Airport

Over recent days there's been a couple of interesting aircraft to call into Rockhampton Airport - relatively un-noticed - but still worth mentioning.  Of particular interest was the brief visit of Avcair (Sutherland Aviation) Gulfstream G-IV bizjet VH-WXK.

On Friday 19 September, it appears that VH-WXK arrived from and later departed back to Brisbane - I believe where this aircraft is based.

Also on Friday - but much later in the day - Cirrus SR22T VH-OPG called into Rocky from Cairns.  It then departed to its Gold Coast base where it actually touched down just after 1am on Saturday 20 September.

As we mentioned below, on Saturday 20 September, Singapore Airlines Boeing B777-200 9V-SVK called into Rockhampton Airport from Singapore.

Earlier on Saturday, Tecnam P2006T VH-OWW called in from Archerfield and departed to the Whitsunday Airport at Airlie Beach / Shute Harbour.

VH-OWW then called back into Rocky on Sunday 21 September, this time heading 'home' to Archerfield.

Finally, arriving late on Sunday 21 September was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FWH which was operating a service on behalf of Virgin Australia, touching down as VOZ1247 from Brisbane.  However, it appears the Fokker went unserviceable as early on Monday 22 September, local plane spotter 'IAD' was able to capture of VH-FWH still parked on the Rockhampton Airport apron.

VH-FWH then re-positioned back to Brisbane mid-way through the morning Monday 22 September as VOS9536.

Quite a few interesting aircraft into Rocky!
