More Jetstar Special Colours and a REX Charter at Mackay Airport

A day after the very bright and colourful Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 VH-VGF visited Mackay in its Orange - or 'Jaffa' - colour scheme, the airline's other brightly painted A320 VH-VFN popped in to the sugar city operating the JST894/895 service from and back to the Gold Coast on Tuesday 16 September.

VH-VFN still wears its special 100th aircraft / 100 millionth passenger in the Jetstar Group fleet livery.

Meanwhile, later that night on Tuesday 16 September, Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340B VH-RXQ operated an interesting - presumably - charter flight into Mackay operating as PFY9802 from Brisbane.  In the early hours of Wednesday 17 September, it returned to Brisbane as PFY9803.

Finally, at the time of writing, I note a couple of interesting departures from Mackay Airport on Wednesday 17 September, perhaps highlighted by the 1966-build Beech 65 Queen Air VH-FDV departing 'home' to Caloundra.  It appears that VH-FDV has spent around a month parked at Mackay.

Also, Gulf Aircraft Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-EYN (ex-VH-PYN) - pictured in a Blog Post below - is due to depart back to Hamilton Island and then Archerfield also on Wednesday.
